A laudable effort

A considerable amount of effort may have gone into the production of this work, but there could have been a better outcome.This is an outsider's view, to which anyone is entitled, but hindered by misconstrued interpretations and possibly also inaccurate data. For insight into Portuguese fado singing and associated culture and history, there is some information on the web. I would suggest two articles by Manuela Cook, one to be found on [...] and the other on [...] the latter on the Salazar period.
